We are a small ecclesial seed, which has sprouted in the heart of the Carmel of Saint Teresa, to pray. A humble reality, called to be channel for helping to live the fascinating adventure of the Christian freedom, through the praying as Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross and brothers and sisters of the Carmel family teach to us, through their experience and their magisterium.

Our identity appears expressed in the initials that give us name: GOT

We are groups, composed by Christians related to the charisma of the Carmel of Teresa, that wish to travel in company and friendship the path of the meeting with God in the prayer, making ours Jesus’ words: «where there is two or more gathered in my name, there am I with them» (Matthew 18.20), and encouraged by the advice of Saint Teresa: «It is a great evil for a soul to be alone», «I would advise those who give themselves to prayer, to form friendships; and converse familiarly, with others who are doing the same thing» (Life 7.32, 33).

We are groups of prayer, because our primary goal it is to live the Christian prayer as «being on terms of friendship with God, frequently conversing in secret with Him Who, we know, loves us» (Life 8.7) and to help others to do the same thing.

We are “teresian” groups of prayer, because we follow the traced trail for the rich spirituality of Saint Teresa and, in general, of all the family of the Carmel.
